Training

Training & Leadership Development

We are committed to equipping our volunteers and young leaders with the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to make a lasting impact.

Volunteer Training

Our Battalion delivers a comprehensive programme of local training courses throughout the year, making it easy for volunteers to develop their leadership, safeguarding, programme planning, and practical skills.

Training is open to all volunteers across the Brighton, Hove & District Battalion.

KGVI Leadership Training

King George VI (KGVI) is The Boys’ Brigade’s flagship residential leadership course for young people aged 17–19.

Held annually at Broomley Grange Residential Outdoor Activity Centre in Stocksfield, KGVI brings together young leaders from across the UK for a week of adventure, personal development, and leadership training. It’s an opportunity to build friendships, grow in confidence, and gain valuable skills to support your work within your BB Company.

For more information or to apply, speak to your Company Captain or the Battalion Training Convenor.

Funding Support

Financial support for members of the Brighton, Hove & District Battalion is generously provided by the Brighton Stedfast Association. Please contact their Treasurer for eligibility and funding details.
